My footprint must be seen here

Featured artist: Kenny Glory – My footprint must be seen here

As part of our ongoing “Rap’s New Generation” series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist Kenny Glory from Enugu to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint…

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, Kenny Glory! Let’s go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

Kenny Glory: It has been in my mind ever since I was a teenager. From there the passion grew stronger and seeing those I look up to as my role model,it gave me more courage to decide that I'm made for this,it was from there that I decided to enter into music and pursue my dreams.

I was advised to stay focused no matter what comes my way never to give up. In other words, that I should stick to what I started with, not to deviate from it because I'm a gospel rapper.
My advise to another artist is "Do you man, no matter what they say or thing about you it doesn't matter. So do your thing and God will crown your effort"

What about concerts? Do you play live?

Yes whenever I'm called to or been invited then I go live.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

Even when I do the right thing, they still wan put me to fighting, I don't give a damn what they thinking cause I know they always be freaking

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I'm currently working on my music video
Yes I released a single few months ago

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Yes I would like to be signed to a record contract with a major label
OK what I can point out about the pros and cons to me is that when it comes to the pro I will say that the label has what it takes to get an artist there in short distance. Also they really know what works and don't work in the music industry
Then the cons of it is that the artist won't have that freedom again as he would be tied down to the contract like they (label) decide what he should record and when to record.
Another one is that the artist doesn't go show on his own will but the label decides when to go.

Any last words?

Yea shoutout to my big bro Emmy who has been there for me ever since I embarked on this journey and also shout out to my fellow rappers here who are working tirelessly towards the achievement of their goals.

Where can people follow you to stay up-to-date?
