As part of our ongoing “Raps New Generation” series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist J Rizzy from Pittsburgh to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint…

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, J Rizzy! Let’s go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

J Rizzy: My dawg camp Yola invested in a lil home studio at the time the people that lived in that his apartment complex would complain about the noise long story short the booth ended up at my crib we were constantly in the studio to the point I realized this is what I wanna do I slowy got into rapping and mixing in no time

What about concerts? Do you play live?

I have in the past but right now I’m focusing on building my name

I ain’t talking butter but u know I’m on a roll

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I got two albums about to drop (chef Jeff ) coming Halloween 2018 and thanksgiving I’ll be dropping ( the underground ) I’ve dropped free mixtapes n the past but now I’m trying to take this to the next level

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

If the deals legit I’m out here trying to make something out of nothing
