Latino rapper/producer on the rise

Featured artist: Flacko Da Baptist – Latino rapper/producer on the rise

As part of our ongoing “Raps New Generation” series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist Flacko Da Baptist from Tulare to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint…

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, Flacko Da Baptist! Let’s go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

Flacko Da Baptist: As child i'd rap for fun with my brothers and friends having our own little rap battles. I have always been rapping but started to take it serious in 2016.

Invest into your music if you really want to get into the music scene, eventually your investments will pay off.

What about concerts? Do you play live?

I haven't had any show's yet, but i'm actually currently in the process of being a head liner in a show some time either in November and December and defiantly planning to do some shows in 2019.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

My mind be racing, im facing temptations, i try to stay patient, so i smoke a blunt

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

Currently just finished my debut album "Psychedelic Boy" which should be released some time in November. Since I just finished up a project i'm just currently working on producing beats.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Yes, but never a 360 deal. The pros is you'll get a bigger budget on your projects and promotion giving you a bigger platform. Cons, giving a huge cut of your music to a label and being unable to control what you can release.

Any last words?

Shouts out to my big bro Ghost, $not and Ghostemane for hoping on my album, and 90's Bambino for the production in my album.
