Female Hip Hop Artist who is all brains, beauty and bars.

Featured artist: Venomiss – Female Hip Hop Artist who is all brains, beauty and bars.

As part of our ongoing “Rap’s New Generation” series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist Venomiss from Raleigh, NC to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint…

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, Venomiss! Let’s go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

Venomiss: I was 16 years old when I first took it seriously, but my older cousins were pursuing deals when I was a kid and growing up around so much Hip Hop made me want to do it more .

Stay so focused on your own lane, that you don't notice what anyone else is doing…. be authentically yourself.

What about concerts? Do you play live?

Yes! I have done lots of shows, opened for many celebrities and been nominated for a few awards throughout the Country.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

"Ate at soup kitchens thanking God for the charity, but so much pain in me kind of thought that God was mad at me."

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I have a new album coming soon and I just dropped a new music video called "Visions" that is out now on Youtube and Facebook.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I would sign with a major given that I get to remain myself creatively. There are pros and cons to both staying indie and signing a record deal.

Any last words?

Shoutout to anyone who has been supporting me since day one. I have so much love and respect for my supporters.

Where can people follow you to stay up-to-date?
