All Eyes on Syrian Australian Recording Artist

Featured artist: FwCartier – All Eyes on Syrian Australian Recording Artist

As part of our ongoing “Rap’s New Generation” series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist FwCartier from Sydney to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint…

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, FwCartier! Let’s go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

FwCartier: Ive always found my way to being creative, up until recently reflecting on my life .. I realised it’s been with in me since year 3.
Wasn’t until 5 years ago I decided to invest my all into this.
It was the year after my father was murdered, that following year I needed to vent.
Since then I’ve targeted my depression anxiety and life’s hurdles and pushed it through expressed melodies, which commonly are mistaken for shallow aesthetics.

Be your self ! Whatever you’re facing is only going to build character, if you feel like giving up DON’T.
You obtain everything in this life through the currency of wisdom.. if you don’t have it yet .. you’re not equipped to handle it yet.
Nothing is given, trust your self and pay attention to the evolution of your own mind.
People don’t see your vision they only get in the way.
DO IT ALL YOUR SELF AND HELP OTHERS.

What about concerts? Do you play live?

Yes I do, I’ve been in the lab lately so I need to get my self out there soon with all this new work.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

My Come Up Is Disrespectful.

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I’ve recently realeased a mixtape called “Kora”, three tracks off that tape are on all streaming platforms like Spotify Apple Music Deezer Tidal etc.
The rest of my tape and most my projects are found on Soundcloud.
I’ll be releasing a new mixtape
(dates yet to be announced)
“theCartierfolder” which will blow some people out the water.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Yeah I would, I see it as rapid business expansion.
But like with anything there’s always a down side
So as long as I’m happy with my end of the deal, the fairness and freedom then I’m down to sign away.
The industry is tricky and I understand that, so it’s high alert with this type of stuff.

Any last words?

Big shout out to all my supporters, if you know you know .. it’s no fan base its cult based, so shout out to my Rare Vibes Only group
Shout out to my area Minto
My city Sydney
I wanna most importantly thank my mamma for teaching me how to be G. You make my life easier.

Where can people follow you to stay up-to-date?
