Featured artist: Big Mac – Big Moves with Big Mooky

As part of our ongoing “Raps New Generation” series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist Big Mac from Winston Salem to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint…

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, Big Mac! Let’s go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

Big Mac: It was a dream of mine to become a rapper ever since I saw a Lil Wayne video when I was younger.

Make sure to be genuine and humble at all times, and always make sure to get the money upfront.

What about concerts? Do you play live?

I do perform live but have not performed that many shows yet.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

If you can't laugh at your pain then it's laughing at you.

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

"Attack of the Killer Babe" is out now on Soundcloud. My second mixtape "I'm Fine" should drop in December.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I want to sign a major distribution contract. Snakepit is my label. Major labels only care about the bottom line.

Any last words?

Shouts to Snakepit Entertainment. Shouts to Trauxma, lexiconZZZ, Joeseppi, and Gray Early.
