These are his vices.

Featured artist: WVY JEE – These are his vices.

As part of our ongoing “Rap’s New Generation” series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist WVY JEE from Portland to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint…

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, WVY JEE! Let’s go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

WVY JEE: Everyday I would walk home from school with a big group of friends, and we would freestyle on the way home to pass time. Even at lunch I'd make a beat with pencils and we would freestyle over the beat.

Never settle. Use the energy from people who hate who you are and be who you want to be. Always make yourself happy.

What about concerts? Do you play live?

I haven't done a venue yet. It's coming soon.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

Rip off your skin just to get on your nerves, throw a little salt on that. Shed off your skin just to walk with the heard, all yall the fault for that.

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I just dropped a few singles, working on a LP. That's also coming soon.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

If the deal was right ofcourse. I write my own music, and want it to sound the way I want it to. I accept advice. But if someone want to write a song for me. Never.

Any last words?
