Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, HollyHood Jay & Qool B4 12elve as Tha Q! Let’s go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?
HollyHood Jay & Qool B4 12elve as Tha Q: Since a kid, Jay and I loved the feeling hip hop, R&B, Pop and all these other amazing genres give the listener. Him being from the NorthSide and me from the SouthSide, we both had one thing in common. Both raised by single mothers, a lot of the times
Hot 97 and Power 105 took the place of our parents. We just wanna give the city a feeling.
The best advice was, the music game is like High School. If your not the guy at the moment, keep working on being you, then you’ll find and master your own lane. They’ll catch on in do time.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
We do lots of live performances. Mostly at clubs and lounges or anywhere the Djs bring us out to.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
They know that we them hitters, yet when it come our style this niggas are in Denial like they live in Egyptian rivers.
