As part of our ongoing “Raps New Generation” series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist Saint Zebulon from Pueblo to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint…

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, Saint Zebulon! Let’s go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

Saint Zebulon: I started making electronic music about 9 years ago, which solidified my love for music production. It wasn't until 2016 that I really started to try my hand at producing hip-hop and rap beats. In the early part of last year, I sent some beats out to vocalists I met throughout the years and that became Saint Zebulon Vol. 1, which I released last year.

After taking years of music theory classes, I realized that if you make music that sounds good to you, it will sound good to someone else. There are no rules.

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I just released "Saint Zebulon Vol. 2: Reconciled" with 8 tracks and 10 guest vocalist features. My next focus is to keep working on the series and follow up with Saint Zebulon Vol. 3 in the spring of next year.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Under my Saint Zebulon alias, I wouldn't sign to a major label, but some day for this project, I would explore signing masters of individual songs to certain labels.

Any last words?

Huge ups to all the guest vocalists of Vol. 2; King Judah, Adriel Genet (of Burn the Ballroom), Kash Stackson, Protege, Yung Raimi, Vokab Kompany, D-stylz, High Key, Chance Reke, and Vibes Vienna.
