As part of our ongoing “Raps New Generation” series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist Stan p from Houston to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint…

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, Stan p! Let’s go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

Stan p: I was a kid when started doing music and i fell in love with it from there i love being creative with my music. And bring new flavor and different styles and how i can prefect it with a strong message for all types of crowds to relate to it

My best advice was " make sho your music is hot.the public need hot shit becuse if your shit ain't hot your music mean shit" and i take that to the heart

What about concerts? Do you play live?

I do shows open mic nights and open for aother artists like too short,billy cook,boosie bad azz, big pokey (suc), lil keke (suc), lil flip,

Best punchline you ever wrote?

Nothing don't come to a sleeper but a dream

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I just released my ep/mixtape hood grammer on stan p in the i have release life in the gutta / the grind mode vol.1 and 420 the mixtape

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

It all depends on how the numbers looking and how much promotion and the distribution they gone put behind the project in order to reach the goal.

Most definitely i want to give a shout out to the homie d handz putting the work on the ep and my big bro k-rino for the feature and my home of h town for showing love and support and my hood 5th ward.
