As part of our ongoing “Rap’s New Generation” series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist Hunnit F. Roundz from Sacramento to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint…

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, Hunnit F. Roundz! Let’s go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

Hunnit F. Roundz: I've always had the gift of gab and could use my mouthpiece. I could always hear beats playing in my head and would just start to freestyle. I would freestyle for anyone, anywhere.

The best advice I can give is as an artist you will have good and bad days, days you feel like giving up dont! Keep pushing keep believing in yourself stay true to yourself always!

What about concerts? Do you play live?

This year alone I have performed for 8 months straight. From January to August. I love being up on that stage, performing live.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

Tomorrow is not promised, so for me and mines I'm going John Q. I push buttons then I make moves.

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

Right now I am currently working on my EP titled Trippin Trippin, it will be released by the end of the year. Last year I released a mixtape called GoldWater which is a collab with me and another Sacramento native artist.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

No. I prefer to stay true to myself. I rather stay independent and build my own label.

Any last words?

I would like to shout out my city Sacramento I appreciate the love and support. Shout out to my ScoreBoard VP for believing in me and my dream. I appreciate your love and support.

Where can people follow you to stay up-to-date?
