As part of our ongoing “Rap’s New Generation” series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist RaydioActive from South Rockwood to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint…

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, RaydioActive! Let’s go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

RaydioActive: Long story short
I was a hardcore rock head metal head if you will
And then my best friend died of a drug overdose and I listen to one rap song he made and got inspired and motivated and decided this is what I want to do with my life started writing every day practicing trying in every way to be the best shows battles songs open mics freestyling at parties then my mom went into the mental asylum and i had to take care of the house my money never got right because I was helping my family and I am independent so i do everything my self but at this point I cant cause I have a wife you needs me so this would help me get great exposure and any help is amazing and theres much more to the story but ill save that for the interview. (If choose)
New project I'm coming out with is insane asylum.

Your a top notch lyricist, but whats stopping you from being great is using your emotions tonthe fullest.


What about concerts? Do you play live?

Yes, my very first concert was at 16 i opened for obie trice.

Since you wanna give your two cents You thinking you pennywise and It just isnt what you is


What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

One full length album on sound cloud but I took it off to start my next project which ended up not getting put out there because of personal stuff with my mom im currently working on a solo album called insane asylum.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Yes if the deal was solid I have an offer right now but havent seen the contract
Pros I will get everything paid for
