Living in a 8up World

Featured artist: Laylow – Living in a 8up World

As part of our ongoing “Raps New Generation” series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist Laylow from Greeley to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint…

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, Laylow! Let’s go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

Laylow: I started wrightinging when i was 9yrs old inspired by sublime, 2pac No Limit and a few other Artist. Lived a crazy life and decided to make it my profession so I can help others with my experiences while inspiring our youth!

Never quit you can sleep when your dead!

What about concerts? Do you play live?

We have been curently doing local shows once a month hoping to soon be doing atleast 2 a week

Best punchline you ever wrote?

Got tracks like a herion junkie like I work for the railrod company

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

Im curently working with my squad 8up Music about to drop 3 Albums back to back and also dropping 2-3 songs a month wich can be found on and have released about 60 tracks this year alone

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I wouldn't mind sighning wit a label as long as we can negotiate the right deal only cuz the funding and conections that come with being sighned but from a few Artist I know that are say they getting robbed but as an independent Artist thats driven you can make alot more but the work load is ridiculous and its super hard branding yourself managing every move promoting yourself the right way while creating music web, videos, merch and content desighn isnt easy without being funded so I would have to consider sighning a contract if its right for my team!

Any last words?

Mad love to my homies C-Nile devinci and IandI from BM3 out of colorado strait killing the Game and my team at 8upmusic Jmacc and Sav Yungg
