“put Us Down” Single got flames on radio stations

Featured artist: Daredevill – "put Us Down" Single got flames on radio stations

As part of our ongoing “Raps New Generation” series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist Daredevill from Windhoek to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint…

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, Daredevill! Let’s go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

Daredevill: I use to do poetry for my high school newsletter. The same time i used to listen to too much of 50Cent, The Game and Lil Wayne. The love for rap escalated in me till i got inspired to turn those poems into lyrics.

Don't ever feel entitled to something, that's how you exclude yourself.

What about concerts? Do you play live?

I play live vocals but not instruments. I've never hosted a concert but looking forward to when my album drops.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

My heart has a beat with no melody

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I'm busy working on my debut album titled "Immortal Happiness". And i just dropped the first single from the album titled "Put Us Down".

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Not now. I just wanna be a free agent and do my own things for now. The pros of having a major label is that you don't do most things, like paying for studio time, marketing and other stuffs. The pros is that you cheque is cut and you don't have full control over your music.

Any last words?

Shout out to Robert Wamu (my producer), Araffath Muhuure (my sound engineer), and everyone in Windhoek city that's feeling me.
