Featured artist: BREAKtheArtist – BREAKing waves and molds in rap
As part of our ongoing “Rap’s New Generation” series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist BREAKtheArtist from Greenville to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint…
Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, BREAKtheArtist! Let’s go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?
BREAKtheArtist: Music has been a passion of mine since I was a kid. I was often writing poems and songs in my free time. I love sharing myself and my stories through my music. Music is art, and art is powerful. During dark times in my life I feel like all I really have is my notebook and the music of my favorite artists. Music has uplifted me in ways I cannot fully express and I hope that through my music I can uplift others as well.
