The voice of the Steppas

Featured artist: Dom Corleone – The voice of the Steppas

As part of our ongoing “Rap’s New Generation” series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist Dom Corleone from Petersburg to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint…

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, Dom Corleone! Let’s go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

Dom Corleone: I knew I had talent with making words rhyme. It was the people around me that encouraged me to take the music seriously and I’m glad I listened.

Get big to the point everybody call you “cousin”

Dom Corleone

What about concerts? Do you play live?

I have an upcoming performance on the 25th in Richmond, Virginia.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

I’m antisocial so don’t hit me up you not getting a verse

Dom Corleone

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I’m currently working on a second project called Make Steppas Step Again. The first project I put out was Black Hearted EP On Spinrilla.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Only thing I would sign is a promotion deal. I want to have all rights to my own music and come up with my gang.

Any last words?

S/O to C4L that’s the gang and the supporters couldn’t make it without Y’all

Where can people follow you to stay up-to-date?

Dom Corleone:

Thank you for your time. We wish you and your career the success it deserves.

Support the culture.
