Featured artist: Dmoe – #DONTFOLD

As part of our ongoing “Rap’s New Generation” series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist Dmoe from Fort Walton Beach to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint…

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, Dmoe! Let’s go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

Dmoe: I wanted to give people goin thru things an outlet to hear a message. The message being you are not alone there is someone who can relate to you and goin thru the same adversity even if it ain’t the same problems. You can listen and get thru hearin how another person dealt with the problems.

Don’t ever let anyone tell you what you can’t do. Keep pushing, hard work pays off .

What about concerts? Do you play live?

When I go live on Facebook I play live . I also like to go to open mics to let people interact with me while I’m delivering my message and a performance.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

If she wink ima grab make her tap if I smash Keith sweat make it last

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I released no sympathy on spinrilla last year this year I’m realeasing two eps. I am my brothers keeper and my solo project no sympathy 2.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I really don’t know the ends and outs but I feel like I want 100% of my money since I put 100%of my time and effort into it. We would have to sit down and really get into all intangibles of a contract before I jus sign away.

Any last words?

Shout out to Megan, Kim, Katerina, Kenisha, And Courtney for helpin me build my brand. Shout out to Comedian Keith Jones for lettin me use his platform and and Peezy collazo for helping me get to the top.

Where can people follow you to stay up-to-date?
