Poverty Stories

Featured artist: ChoppaMan – Poverty Stories

As part of our ongoing “Raps New Generation” series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist ChoppaMan from Baltimore to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint…

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, ChoppaMan! Let’s go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

ChoppaMan: Because I wanted to create a legacy for my family and friends so that we would never be broke lost and hopeless ever again for generations to come

To never stop and to always be original always keep pushing no matter the odds

What about concerts? Do you play live?

Yes I do live shows local and in other cities for booking email me at Povertyent.21215@gmail.com

Best punchline you ever wrote?

With this ravaging steel tool I bet I make Rick Rude when the heat on I stay cool my condition in air smooth

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I’m currently working on my mixtape and two collab mixtapes. Poverty Vol 1 is already out all over and you can buy the singles here on cdbaby http://store.cdbaby.com/cd/povertyent2 My mixtape will be dropping in January

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I would just for the business side of things just to know more and grow more in the business. The money and traps that come with it I’m not all trilled about it but you have to make the best out of what your doing period. Pros to it is that you get the advance you get to move around and definitely get the exposure that you need to stay relevant. But the Cons are if you don’t know anything about the business your going to get screwed even if you only know a little bit there’s loop holes in contracts it’s a dirty game but hey you got to know how to get yours and stand tall to stop the con side of things just get a lawyer that you can trust
