Featured artist: RayDaChef – This chef stays cooking up them beats

As part of our ongoing “Raps New Generation” series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist RayDaChef from San Antonio to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint…

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, RayDaChef! Let’s go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

RayDaChef: My wife at first she is very talented singer and I wanted to help get her voice heard and things kinda snowballed from there and i started to really love it then it became less and less about her and I and more about leaving a legacy for my son to be proud of

You better have skin so thick it looks like your turning into a alligator

What about concerts? Do you play live?

No I'm mainly at my studio making beats like crazy i like being in the back ground not upfront

Best punchline you ever wrote?

Can't never did nothing

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I'm always pushing beats out everynight sometimes 6 or 7 a night just trying to perfect my craft

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I dont know it would have to make sense to me and it would have to benefit not only the picket but also the progression of my career

Any last words?
