Featured artist: marXemi – Rap Beats Exclusive Interview with marXemi

Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist marXemi.

How did you decide to become an artist?

marXemi: As a child growing up, i learn't to love music, my Father was a Pastor and a musician, he sang and played a Lead guitar, so my love for music actually came from the family. Sometimes i will give special numbers in church and make everyone happy, you know, i loved to sing songs by Kirk Franklin and R Kelly, don't wanna mention many names but you get the picture. Even though i first started doing cover music, deciding to become an artist didn't come until i learn't to make beats, and i needed someone to sing to this beats and never wanted to sell my beats, so i had to take up the task, although i knew i would eventually become an artist it came very slowly i never even noticed till i discovered Google had given me a knowledge panel.

Look for your comfort zone and improve on it, that's when you'll actually stand out.

What about concerts? Do you play live?

I do play live and give concerts, yes.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

Something isn't right with these guys snuffing my stuff and exhausting the cash i converted to dust.

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

Currently i'm working on three new titles, "Don't Stain Me", "Epic Moment", "Stretch Marx", an some of them will be featuring the likes of Lil Breezy and The CliccTight Best Friends Duo, John Deux Live and CT First Lady, they are set to go live withing the next few days. Previously I've had quite a number of releases on my sleeves, but my major success would be by first album "Grateful" a 10 track master piece, the fourth track "Gimme Life" withing the first week of release was Hitting Top 200 in Sounclick Hip Hop charts, you know the feeling.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Yeah, i would sign a contract with a major label, you know, anything for the money, they just take up your rights and freedom then give you plenty of money, and it's cool.

Any last words?
