Never lost my vision

Featured artist: Bigchu da General – Never lost my vision

Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Bigchu da General.

How did you decide to become an artist?

Bigchu da General: well I was in the background and helping, but then from working with other artist and community groups I seen that If I work on my craft harder, that I skill wise; I was destined for something big. Mainly because my ground zero was next level to most and was as good as some famous people. So I figured if I worked hard to lay a solid foundation that everyone encourage me to stand up in the front and put out my own work with what I had to say.

The best advice given to me is find what I am weak at as an artist and make it my strength so never give up because I will have plenty of shaping and reshaping to do.

Bigchu da General

INPERCEPTIONWELOVE INTERVIEW ON HIS NEWEST RELEASE

Featured artist: inperceptionwelove – INPERCEPTIONWELOVE INTERVIEW ON HIS NEWEST RELEASE

Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist inperceptionwelove.

How did you decide to become an artist?

inperceptionwelove: for as long as i can remember, music has always been around me. my family isn't musical at all, but my dad would always play the slim shady LP in his black beat up Mazda and I fell in love with every syllable, every word and the way Eminem would create these songs. I knew, just listening to the LP that I wanted. even needed to become that. Eminem was my first real inspiration. I discovered artists like Mos Def, MF DOOM, Black Thought, NF, etc and just fell more in love with the way they used words and knew I had to do this. Music was always an outlet for me and let me express what I was truly, truly feeling. It really saved my life and if i can inspire someone to do the same, my life will mean something.

"Be so good they can't deny you."

inperceptionwelove

What about concerts? Do you play live?

Not at the moment but I will be moving to Austin, Texas very soon so I will be.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

I’m wishing to the world that I could understand it’s ways / And see past the assumptions that there’s a lack of pace / Like there’s no reason for the legions of the feelings we’ve been treating as misleading and trapping it in the retreating / I want to know I need the answers / Because the questions are coming but the seconds are faster / And as soon as they catch up the wonders are going under and we’ll lose everything that we hold dear but this is the start of the newest premiere / of the future

inperceptionwelove

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I have just dropped my EP reality, currently out on the link of this interview. This collection of songs means the entire world, it's showing the reality of the people who put on the happiest personas but are secretly dying inside.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I've definitely thought about it, but I would need to thoroughly understand what I'm singing and what I would be gaining/losing. Creative control is my main priority.

Any last words?

The Rio Grande Valley, the place that made me who I am. Thank you to my mom, for being there through literally everything, my dad for teaching me how to go through life, Olivia for being the best friend in the entire world, and to everyone to inspired this ep. Thank you all so much.

Connection

Featured artist: Justin – Connection

Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Justin.

How did you decide to become an artist?

Justin: Music is all I really know.. I've been messing with my voice in just about every way imaginable since I got up the courage to make some noise.

They're scared of you, kid.. Don't let that scare you.

Justin

What about concerts? Do you play live?

Soon! I just need to finish up my set list and get my team together. Not always easy while the money isn't right but keep your eyes open in Minneapolis.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

I bet you thought I was dead by now.

Justin

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I'm currently working on a full tape of my first more so "professional" demo's. I've released all sorts of content I wasn't sure of in the past but over the past few months I've gathered about 30 songs that I'm planning on moving forward with.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I mean sure.. I would sign.. but I'm definitely aware of what to keep my guard up for.
It all depends on the contract.
I'd say the pros would be help with distribution, solid team work, and better production while the cons would be smiling at people who see me as a paycheck..
Either way it's not so black and white.. I'm open to whatever comes my way.
I

Any last words?

"I only love my bed and my momma I'm sorry…."
Honestly though.. If you've had my back I love you and you know who you are.
Minneapolis is a great city and I'm very appreciative for the opportunities that can be found here.
