Behind Bars Entertainment Presents…P. The Politician

Featured artist: P. The Politician – Behind Bars Entertainment Presents…P. The Politician

Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist P. The Politician.

How did you decide to become an artist?

P. The Politician: My brother was sentenced to an 8 year prison sentence at the age of 17. He was the best rapper that I ever heard, so I decided to start a label so he would have something to fall back on when he was released. So I started Behind Bars Entertainment and during the course of his incarceration, the label grew and artist came and went. By the time he was released his interest were into other things and by this time I had the know how to run a small record label, so I decided that If my brother wasn't going to rap, then the next best person that I could depend on was myself. I had been rapping all of my life, but when my brother decided to focus on other things, I figured I'll do it then.

Get up when you fall and be prepared to fall one hundred thousand more times. Just always get up

P. The Politician

What about concerts? Do you play live?

I have never played live, but would love to connect with a band that could create that experience

Best punchline you ever wrote?

I move like molasses, in tortoise like fashion, try to keep up with me

P. The Politician

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I am currently promoting my latest album entitled "Politically Correct" feat Caceeno. Simultaneously I am also working alongside my label mate Caceeno and assisting him with his project release slated for May 2016

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I would sign a record contract with a major label so as long as it was beneficial to both myself and the record label. I am able to do too much from beat production, recording engineering, promotion etc…so as long as the numbers worked for both parties I'm all in. The pros to a major label is that you can get exposure in a manner that would be difficult doing independently. The cons are that you run the risk of becoming a slave to a master.

Any last words?

Absolutely. I would like to give a shoutout to God and my Savior Jesus Christ first and foremost. I would also like to thank my production partner Lil Remy as well as one of my oldest friends, Caceeno. Without them there would be no P. The Politician. I would also like to shoutout my brother Justice aka Ice Cold. Without him there would be no Behind Bars Entertainment. Shoutout to Brother Drag for his wisdom and lastly I would also like to shoutout Lil EZY and ask him when the hell he''s gonna get back in the lab?

The Artist_LR In Depth

Featured artist: Artist_LR – The Artist_LR In Depth

Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Artist_LR.

How did you decide to become an artist?

Artist_LR: Becoming an artist started as a thing to pass time. The craft became more challenging with different obstacles that ultimately created a path of self reassurance for me. Being an artist represents a certain creed about myself that is upheld in the most professional manner, treating this craft not like a job but a lifestyle.

The best advice given to me as an artist is, "Continue to work hard, always promote yourself, and always be prepared for an opportunity.

Artist_LR

What about concerts? Do you play live?

As an Artist of course I play live and have had many gigs but have yet to have an actual full concert; and yes I'd love to do so!

Best punchline you ever wrote?

Right now I am currently working on another street album entitled: Music and All. My last work of art can be found on Datpiff or Bandcamp and it was entitled: Dedicated Fate

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I would sign with a major if the deal was not what's commonly referred to as a 360 deal. The pros of a major is of course the connections and equipment available at hand but the cons are along the lines of freedom of expression, choice, and decisions to work with whom ever wherever, whenever.

Any last words?

The city I am always in representation of is Ft. Lauderdale, Florida a city by the name of Lauderhill (AKA) DEEPSIDE.

I'd like for all of my fellow artist' to continue striving and I would like to see you all at the top as healthy competition and all respect to @LeoVelli, @BARZDAMU and the FlyMind Poets movement (NEWGA).

Introducing Kool

Featured artist: Kool – Introducing Kool

Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Kool.

How did you decide to become an artist?

Kool: Ever since I was ten I started out writing poems. Then I would listen to songs and try to write over them. What made me want to become an artist was the feeling music gave me and the feeling of creating something that's not only my own, but something people can relate to whether it was anger, sadness, joy or even just having a good time. Music helps me express how I'm feeling at the moment. And also being able to vent and tell my life story and past experiences in a creative way.

If it's something you love to do, even if times are rough keep pushing forward and never give up on your dreams.

Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Young Slingshot.

How did you decide to become an artist?

Young Slingshot: I decided to become an artist by producing beats with my uncle "Mike Lo Beatz" and like i just started writing to the beat and he said what i had wrote down was hot, so since then, i just been writing but Speaker Knockerz is what made me actually wanna be an artist because it was just something that made his music sound so good. So i said i wanted to be just like him so i did what he did to get started which was producing music for other rappers and his self and got big from what he did. But i'm just trying to be bigger and better than what he was, i wanna get known by a lot of people worldwide and every time i go somewhere, i want someone to be like "Wassup Young Slingshot" and try to get my autograph.

The best advice that was given to my as an artist was "Lil bro, keep doing your thing foreal, if you keep doing exactly what you doing right now, and keep getting better and better, God will bless you one day."
