We are unsigned. We come from New York In the suburbs up in Orange County. Our names are John Montini known as 47 Shots, Jay Dolson Known as Savage, and Michael Moran Known as M!k3Y. Growing up we would always blast music and write songs. Then in 2009 we started taking music more seriously.. We created a independent underground label called Lil House Records. We use to record music in the studio we built inside of a small cottage in a backyard. We called that the lil house. Every year we progressed well and lil house records was well known around our area. We had multiple talented artist in our area recording with us. Who is @JRTheSoundBoi ?

Featured artist: JR – Who is @JRTheSoundBoi ?

Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist JR.

How did you decide to become an artist?

JR: It all started too far back for me to honestly remember but I do remember that I have always loved music. I grew up listening to R&B artists and groups such as H town, Jodeci, R Kelly and Aaliyah but also fell in love with the more hard core vibes from the sounds of Staten Island’s Wu-Tang and the Queens Bridge block set Mobb Deep. My house was always full of music and as my grandmother was a reading teacher, my vocabulary excelled from a young age. It wasn't long before my room became my first writing studio. Teenage years for me were confusing, my parents weren’t around and the only real family connection I could feel was from the street. I learned quickly to survive and show no sign of weakness venting my pain and struggle only through the art form I had by now made my own. Years since then I am still a musician, my material touches those who chose to listen because it comes from a place most can relate to, a trip allowing you inside of the mind of today's generation. Years have passed and I have now come into full swing and found myself creating some of my best material to date and am proud to be soon releasing the long awaited EP "The Preview Effect" which will be in your ears real soon.

Don't be afraid to be who you are, or feel like you need to be somebody different to be accepted. The trick is to make being "YOU" cool… No one can do being you better than you can they

JR
