Arizona’s Future is Ahead

Featured artist: KK$P – Arizona’s Future is Ahead

Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist KK$P.

How did you decide to become an artist?

KK$P: Well it a came to me at a young age, freestyling while banging on the table with a pencil. I was living in Florida at the moment and came to Tucson around June 2009 . I got in touch with some peoples of mine and started doing music. To be honest I didn’t hop in the studio I was mainly rapping on a laptop off the mic the computer had. Usually I would just just flows and freestyle in large crowds at party’s, I didn’t really get serious till 2013 when I made a group called Illegal Money Ent. (IME) the group had a few people in it. From singers to rappers from people who made the designs and logo to people who just promoted the group music. Later on in 2014 I got arrested and did four months and got out and felt like I really needed to step my game up. I knew I had talent but wasn’t giving it my all. I started investing my money into studio time and beats that I own. And I took it from there.

well, I had a few peers that were older and they made music too. the best advice he gave me was too create my own sound and be different from everyone else that is what’s going to make you stick out. and I follow that till this day.

What about concerts? Do you play live?

I mean, yea I do shows I haven’t did anything huge . but my time is coming for that.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

they say only time can tell I wonder how time can tell that?

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I have an album coming out Dec. 6th called l, ”Back On Track” a little something to show . I have a few different artist on the album and it will sound nice when its released

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I wouldn’t rush anything. I’d like to see what each label has to offer and see who will help me help them make this music sounding 100% legit for everyone to vibe too.

Any last words?

Yea. I like to shout out my Family . most Of all the people who supports my music. They the ones who help m push forward. I get great feedback from them. Shout out to my Group IME and my Home city Jacksonville Fl. And the City I Live in Tucson Arizona.
