Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Young Roll Da G.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Young Roll Da G: Coming from the eastside of Detroit I seen alot of thing did alot of things and went through alot my music started out by just hanging with a couple of friends at that time I was nothing. but from the drama of the streets and always moving around alot I started to feel as if I had no one I can really talk too about anything or that would listen. it was so much going on and all I would do is bottle it up that’s not good for anyone through my music I was able to find a way to vent. I started to realize everything happened for a reason in my songs im speaking about my life and the events that happens in my world then noticed its people out here going through the same or similar things when I thought it was just me. I figured I know what I’m supposed to do with the power of music I can teach people the signs to call out the b.s. Before its too late because knowledge is power if i knew what I know back then I probably won’t even be doing this interview. but I have no regrets my past made me who I am but I control the future because when you know better you do better.

Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Bigg Cell.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Bigg Cell: I got into rap around the age of 12. I always had talent in writing but as a kid all I wrote was poems and short stories. At that time rap music was heavily influenced by the east coast and when The L.O.X came out with We Are The Streets, Jadakiss immediately became my favorite rapper after two songs. I’d heard countless rappers rhyme words, he rhymed phrases with ease. I wanted to do that and have it make the same impact lyrically.
Be yourself and stay independent. I was always looking for an industry deal because I wanted to be comparable to industry artists in every way. haha I’m glad someone saw the potential in me and thought enough about my well being to steer me away from that.

How did you decide to become an artist?
Fresh Money: Writing has always been my way of expressing myself. I came from a musically oriented family so I naturally took after that. One of my older brothers and mentor had built a home studio when I was 13 where I recorded my first song over an original beat. I introduced myself to recording and beat making programs and also went to co-op programs for audio engineering to expand my knowledge in the music industry. After learning the Final Cut program and editing all my own visuals I realized that I have the passion to be an artist and everything it comes with.

Salazar ”El Tabaquero”: Music is something I’ve always loved since I was really young since before I even heard Hip hop really. Once I got older I went from doing freestyles on the block with my homies to the studio and everything pretty much wrote itself from there. The real only twist is one day messing around I wrote a verse in Spanish. Slim Jonez: Well it was something that I always wanted to do even as a young kid. I use to beat-box and well try to spit a little something ya dig. lol. Featured artist: Jvan – Artist and Audio Engineer, Jvan Speaks!
Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Jvan.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Jvan: Well, I have always loved music when I was six but began creating music when I was nine. I began loving Hip-Hop/Rap when my sister had shown me about the Hip-Hop Culture. I started to work on my craft when my sister told me to rap freestyle over the “a milli” instrumental for her. She told me that I had some skills. Therefore, I worked on freestyling until I was the age of eleven. Also, At the age of eleven, I worked on my writing skills. However, I didn’t have recording equipment when I first started. Therefore, I used the recorder on my mp3 player to record my music. Although, it wasn’t good, I believed in myself and kept putting in effort. So When I turned 13 or 14, I asked my mom for a USB microphone for my upcoming birthday. I then used a program called Audacity to record until I learned of better microphones and programs.
Best advice? Well, I remember one of my friends telling me to work on my craft and listen to your heart because that will help you figure what you want to do with music or as an artist.
