Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist PayDro.
How did you decide to become an artist?
PayDro: I started off making instrumentals and I couldn’t find a like minded person to rap on them. So i figured I’d use poems I’d write as my lyrics and people couldn’t get enough. So I kept working on perfecting my craft in both categories and the rest was up to God.
If your mother can listen to your lyrics, and be proud….Then you are staying true to yourself.
What about concerts? Do you play live?

Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Moe Da Prophet.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Moe Da Prophet: Well hip hop was always around me through out my life especially when I was about 7 I used to record myself with my moms camera of me lip syncing 2pac songs and other emcees like Big L. Ever since then I eventually started writing my own songs when I was in 6th grade. Me and one of my good friends used to stay up all night writing and then perform them to each other on the bus on our way to school. That’s pretty much when I stuck to it, I wasn’t even thinking about making money off of it I just loved it and I’m still that way until now.
”God gave you a gift so don’t waste it, you got talent”
What about concerts? Do you play live?
Currently working on performing at local spots.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
I already know where I’m headed these haters gonna see the unexpected cause ma flow is a weapon its makin them jealous they might need to call up medic
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
Right now I’m currently working on a mixtape that will release next month so look out for that its gonna have a lot of dope underrated Chicago rappers on it
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would but would prefer a distribution deal because I want to still have a lot of control of my own music and my label which is UNDERDOG MUSIC. I see so many rappers get signed and change their whole style just for some fame and I’m not going to be like that because money ain’t everything. I want to have freedom with my music pretty much, that’s all I ask for.
Any last words?
First off shoutout to my city CHICAGO! Shoutout to all my underdogs out there and my family including my homies that always been there for me, you know who you are.
Thank you for your time. We wish you and your career the success it deserves.

Entertainers of all professions like comedians like Richard Pryor and dancers like The Nicholas Brothers and Gene Kelly. I just wanted to be a household name like those guys. They were the best at what they did.

Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist HighJinx.
How did you decide to become an artist?
HighJinx: I’ve always been into music. I started drumming at 11 yrs old and did that solidly until I was about 22 or 23 I have always had a HUGE love for hip hop as well. So I was out of the music scene for years and then in 2014 I started hitting an old venue that I used to go to local rock shows at with a new friend who happened to rap and that pulled me into the whole underground rap scene here in the Inland Empire. From there I got inspired and motivated by all the talented people I met and wrote some stuff for fun. Everybody who heard my stuff told me that I should write more and do something with it. I dove into it all head first and as raw and unexperienced as they come and started educating myself and writing/recording right away. The rest is history.

Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist FBJ(Favoured.Blessed.Jude).
How did you decide to become an artist?
FBJ(Favoured.Blessed.Jude): Being an artist is not just about the money for me, hence my mindset and mentality for me being a successful artist was to create exceptional and inspirational music that brings value to people and can be relatable to several situations in the life of humanity. At the age of 18, i discovered my passion to be a musical artist as well as learning other artistic forms such as Poetry, Spoken word and Drawing sketches. I wanted to be artist that is not just ordinary but have a point of difference. i believe when you have a potential to be influential in any way you can through your talents, you should use it to your advantage. I became an artist because i love the sounds of instruments and i believe that the voice is a sound that people want to hear. I have been influenced by artists such as Michael Jackson , Joe Praize, Guvna B, Lacrae, Kirk Franklin, Tye Tribbett, Nas, Usher , Llyod etc. . I have faith in myself and my abilities to manage my time to become a great artist. I started off with singing and poetry then suddenly had a transition into rapping and ever since i have had the desire for music. So apart from singing and rapping, i also am a spoken word ministering, Poetry, Beatboxing, DJing, Drumming and Artistic Designs.
In this dark world, you can shine, make the most of every time. Show the world you have something to prove, You aint got nothing to lose. You can reign like a king, glow brighter than the star, you can achieve anything if you believe in who you are.

Featured artist: DA CANINE – One On One With Hip Hop Marvel Da Canine
Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist DA CANINE.
How did you decide to become an artist?
DA CANINE: Well, the story remains the same as the first and the last time I told it. I grew up around the influences of Hip Hop. Throughout my early childhood and adolescence, music was there as a form of spiritual nourishment. I found it extremely sublime, but also addictive in every essence of its power. What started as a gateway to escaping reality, quickly metamorphosed into an avenue of expression the moment I realized my abilities of creating this exquisite, audible work of art. First it was mostly retro-Old-School RnB for me. As time went by, I started experimenting with rap and now look where that’s brought us today. But hey, it’s an awesome feeling to know that you also contribute to the world of music as a giver, not just a consumer.
The best advices given to me included things like “Fake it till you make it”, “downsize the complexity of your rhyme style”, and “sometimes, you should imitate other artists”. Without these suggestions, I may never have said “look, my music isn’t for everyone, I choose to be different, I do me”.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
If there’s one thing I enjoy more than creating music is delivering it to a hungry audience, yearning to hear it first hand, in the flesh. There’s a saying in my mother-tongue Hausa “Gani ya kori Ji”. It means ‘seeing is believing’.

Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist U.H.S.A.S.I.N.(Assassin).
How did you decide to become an artist?
U.H.S.A.S.I.N.(Assassin): I was introduced to music by my cousin who was an inspiring Dj at the time. I was around 5 or 6 years of age. I would watch him do his thing and became inspired also just not with Deejaying. However my older brother followed in his footsteps and started deejaying. When I was ”7”, I picked up the pen and pad and started writing. I made sure I mastered each style of writing before I moved on to the next one. I mean I wrote a rhyme using only the alphabets at age 10,I conquered the fast style of rhyming, even the flipping of metaphors and similes. Hip-hop has a major influence in my life
