Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Mickey Mediam.

How did you decide to become an artist?

Mickey Mediam: It just kinda came to me my freshman year in high school, at first it was for fun with my friends. We would just put random beats on Pandora, and try to freestyle to them. I soon figured out that this is a great way to relieve stress and get what I want to say out there. Now I’m 22 and ready to work on really pushing to get my music out there this whole time I have just been working on my craft waiting for my time. The time is now and I’m ready!

believe in yourself, cuz not everybody else will.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

you can judge me by the way that i look but when i go in you can’t read me like a book.

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

im currently working on my first official album to be released later this year. I’ve put out a bunch of singles though.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

i would consider a contract if it seemed worthy. but i wont change who i am and if that means being independent forever, then so be it.

Any last words?

Biggest shout out to my family who has always had my back. To Arizona and all my fans who show me love!!

Where can we contact you?
